Coast Notes were created to acknowledge and honour the web of relationships that unites us across the places we live.
If you have received a Coast Note, a fellow human has gifted you with their time and consideration.
2020 has been a year of uncertainty. It has tested the strength of our connections to one another, and has been a stark reminder of the critical importance of community. This Note has found its way into your hands in hopes that it brings you joy. May each card inspire appreciation for every member of our coast, from the wee little sculpin to the tallest tree.
Each card written is a gesture of trust in kindness, communication, and vulnerability. Each card sent is a small act of rebellion against the division and isolation that our digital age profits from.
This is an invitation to send your own Coast Note in any direction—especially to people who may not be expecting to hear from you. We hope they further strengthen your relationships with the humans, forests, and seas of this west facing shoreline we know as home.
How many miles of coast can we collectively reach through our ever widening circles?
